We offer Lake Michigan salmon, trout, and perch fishing charters for anglers of all ages and experience levels aboard a 39' Tiara charter yacht named Battalion 1. No fishing equipment or experience is needed becasue we provide it all...just bring a cooler to take home the catch. No need to know how to catch fish because we know what salmon eat and we will show you how to fish. We fish Lake Michigan's Southern Basin morning, noon and night for salmon, trout or perch. Whatever your fishing preference; we are certain we can design a Lake Michigan fishing charter that will be right for you. You will be guided by a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Master Captain who will be accompanied by a crew member to ensure you the best fishing success available. Our captains and crew all grew up in the Chicagoland area and spent countless hours learning how to fish for salmon, trout and perch. Our captains and crew are friendly, personable and passionate about providing you with the best Lake Michigan fishing charter possible. Each captain and crew member has more than 25 years of salmon, trout and perch fishing experience and quite honestly...they really enjoy fishing. Don't worry - the captains don't yell if a fish is lost or a line breaks. In fact, they will coach you along. The boat, a customized Tiara charter fishing yacht, is equipped with new & state-of-the-art Furuno electronics. Electronic equipment for salmon, trout & perch fishing includes sonar, GPS, chart plotter, at-depth speed and water temperature sensors, and an autopilot system. In addition, Battalion 1 operates high definition radar, forward scanning sonar, VHF radio, emergency radio, and hailing equipment for the safety of our guests. Our boat has all safety and compliance devices required of the U.S. Coast Guard and Waukegan Harbor.

Battalion 1 has a full arsenal of premium salmon, trout and perch fishing equipment, such as; Shimano Talora rods and Abu Garcia Ambassador reels. We only use fluorocarbon leaders for a realistic presentation of lures. We strive to maintain the etiquitte of sport-fishing. Our use of Big Jon down-riggers, in-line planer boards, lead core lines, copper lines, and wireline Dipsey Divers offers a thorough variety of the latest Lake Michigan salmon & trout fishing techniques. You will also find a large variety of Michigan Stinger fishing products aboard, which have proven themselves to be very successful when fishing for Lake Michigan salmon.
